Your newest family member from Mountain Pet Rescue might be waiting for you at the ninth annual News 13 Pet Project!

News 13 has teamed up with Ingles Markets and South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES) to bring together adoptable cats and dogs from more than a dozen shelters and rescues across the Carolinas, all looking for their forever homes.

Meet pets and representatives from Blue Ridge Humane Society, Mountain Pet Rescue Asheville, Laps and Naps, Asheville Humane Society, Rusty’s Legacy, Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society, Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation, TAAG, Yancey County Humane Society, Greenville County Animal Care, Brother Wolf, and Landon & Rodger. Each adopted pet will go home with a special bag of goodies.

Plus, connect with local pet product and service providers, enjoy free ice cream and food, strike a pose in the photo booth, check out a display of vintage fire trucks, and bring the family for an afternoon of fun.
